Work in field of literacy : Centre for Social Service was founded in 2004 with a goal to educate and empower orphan and underprivileged girls. I strongly feel education should be accessible to all irrespective of gender, economy or social status. CSS has three main programs running in Hyderabad-1.Residential program for orphan and single parent girls at HayathNagar. Selected girls are provided with necessary facilities for their stay and education. There were 10 girls in 2004 and this academic year 79 girls are staying and studying in the Home. Our girls are in BSc Nursing, B. Com. and BE, Junior College and in various classes doing Schooling. Two of our girls are now doing MS in USA

No of Beneficiaries : 1000

Social Impact : CSS residential students have proved my point that given a choice and a chance, seeds of education can be sowed and nourished in young fertile minds, irrespective of their social background. Around 90 girls have so far passed out from CSS. Some of them got married and have children and some of them are working in their chosen professions. Girls who finished vocational training courses are independently carrying on their vocation. Education has made them aware of their potential, their rights and given them a means to lead a dignified life. This year 79 girls are staying and studying in the Home

Fund Outlay : 7500000

The challenge of arranging funds is being met : This academic year around Rs. 75, 00, 000/- has been spent on the three projects. CSS has got no government support. We solely depend on donations received from individual donors and Corporate donors who sponsor various programs as part of their CSR activities. I am also utilizing my personal residential buildings at Nagole and HayathNagar for the purpose of housing the head office of CSS and for accommodating CSS School teaching staff. In a small way these expenditures are my personal contribution to tide over the total expenditure incurred in running the NGO.

This Award is going to impact the work in future : The award is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of education. This would give our work added credibility, recognition and reaffirms that our decade of work is successfully on the right track. It will fix a new bench mark for our work and will motivate us to reach higher goals in our chosen field of work. All our girls will also be inspired to reach their potential and do justice to the faith that so many supporters have kept in them.
