Work in field of literacy : From 2009 till date I have worked to provide primary necessities for young children of age 4 years to 18 years old in Mehsana city. This includes providing them basic shelter (temporary residence in form of tent), clothes, shoes, food etc. Some adult children are also provided with tools required to become independent by earning their livelihood. Kids who are accompanied by adults that may not be able to work either due to age or disability have also been helped by providing them shelter and hence avoiding living on footpath. This has been an underlying effort to move them away from begging on roads and various places to encourage them to start learning in school. I am heavily involved in explaining and ensuring the kids to understand the importance of education in their life and become independent in life rather than begging. The effort does not stop here but I ensure these kids get admission in the school and get the books and other school supplies to fulfil their dreams. Every year a tour is organized to take these kids to provide them recreational activity. (For example, taking kids to McDonalds, resort visit and other tourist places). From 2013 I also got help from Prakruti Mandal Mehsana in this mission to educate kids. Public has been made aware by advertising to make sure they get an opportunity to help in form of donating clothes or school supplies for children. There has been generous support from the public as well in the effort which tends to grow slowly. I also volunteer to get medical treatment and support for children so they get required attention in time for their health and well being.

Fund Outlay : 1,50,00,000

The challenge of arranging funds is being met : More than 1.5 crore rupees have been spent from 2009 till date in the overall effort. Approximately 1 crore of the contribution has been supported by Prakruti Mandal Mehsana and the general public in form of clothes, tents, food, supplies etc. Approximately 50 lakh rupees have been provided from my personal income. My 90% of personal income has been spent towards this effort.

This Award is going to impact the work in future : This award will be a motivation for me and especially people and organization that are helping in this effort. It will set an example of inspiration in the society whereby common public will come forward in whatsoever form to provide a helping hand. This award will also help my goal of making India beggar free and educating each and every child who may not have sufficient resources.
