Social Impact : Goal of developing human resources are being met. Many teachers in local schools are our past students. Many children of wage labourers/tribal have cracked engineering and polytechnic exams and the number is growing. Literacy level and school going children are increasing. Local youths opens school in inaccessible parts to give quality education with Navodaya Mission. Sirsoti which happened to be last village and least developed are now moving toward becoming a model village. Children of Gov. School, Sirsoti have reached in state level Kho-Kho competitions consequently in two years, and this school was only school in three districts of Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Bhadoi. Engineers and youth are getting motivated to take voluntary work for such programs. More than three hundred engineers from IIT/NIT have volunteers. More than 100 Diploma holders, ITI have devoted their time and developed children as well as himself.
Fund Outlay : 200000
The challenge of arranging funds is being met : The challenge of arranging funds is being met: This is mostly a voluntary based organization. They themselves are investing money for small items, using their own vehicles to move here and there. All the funds are coming from friends and well wishers and intermittently CSR department of companies are also donating for realization of its cause. As villagers and local people are becoming more aware and hopeful they have started participating in all these activities actively and also started making small donations. Direct participation of engineers/doctors as volunteers compensate lack of funds. But we are spreading words now and hope more funds will come to establish institutions. A groups of IITians and alumni of IIMs are now coming and hope in near future things will improve. Government officials are also coming in our touch and they may provide funds as Sonebhadra is only Naxal affected district of Uttar Pradesh.
This Award is going to impact the work in future : As Sonebhadra is the only naxal affected district because of illiteracy and poverty. Education will help in bringing youth back in mainstream and in future they would be in position to reduce poverty. So this award is going to impact the work he is doing in future: As he has tremendous potential to do miracle in literacy and providing quality education, his organization and works requires recognition in the society and corporate world, so that funds may be raised at large scale. As it is located 200 Km away, people are unable to visit this places and even volunteers are unable to go cities and spread the message for raising fund. If selected for this award, all the money will go for developing infrastructure for library and computer center. This may help in attracting attention of his friends and that in return will attract more youths to volunteer and donate funds.
